Dear Sympathizers, If you’re traveling in Cambodia why not do something that makes a difference ?
We are a young organization with much to do, consequently all our posts are entirely voluntary. You would be joining an established and respected community in one of the most beautiful parts of a wonderful country. For further information email: us at orphancambodia@yahoo.com When you visit Siem Reap you will see the magnificent temples of Angkor, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Approaching the temples you will encounter many children selling souvenirs. Others will be singing, dancing and begging. Each needs $10 per month for school.
On behalf of these children, their families, communities and schools, we appeal to you. They need supplies, equipment, school uniforms, bicycles, money, food... Contact Working for Children. We will provide details on the children, their families and their schools needs. Mr. Pol Pean founded Working for Children with Buddhist monks, retired teachers, tour guides and other Cambodian volunteers. They coordinate local activities, helping orphanages, schools and communities. The work is financed through contributions from staff, hotels, guest houses, restaurants, tour guides and especially from generous tourists who visit Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. Tour guides play a primary role in promoting our work with children. Our fundraising and contributions from other institutions are inadequate to meet the continually increasing number of requests we receive from vulnerable children, orphans and schools. We appeal to all charitable people for help and participation. Every dollar helps.
